“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.””
Acts 1:8

When my attempts to witness to others don’t go according to plan, I’ll find myself wondering why Jesus didn’t just finish up all His mission work while He was still here on Earth. He, after all, attracted massive crowds over his three years of ministry and saw numerous put their hope in Him. Yet, He’s chosen to use me and you to finish His work, despite all our flops and failures. I’m nowhere near perfect, definitely don’t have the wisdom to fend off the Pharisees of our time, nor have the ability to walk on water (last I checked), and yet…Christ has equipped and empowered me to be a witness. He wants to use broken and messed up me to be a part of His plan and purpose till He returns.

Father, please help me not lose sight of Your handiwork in my life as I seek to witness to those around me. Please give me the grace and boldness to share with others the amazing role You’ve allowed us to play in Your story.
