“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.”
Ephesians 2:4-5
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.”
1 Peter 1:3-5

It has taken many years for me to discover the difference between the life that I have in the Lord and my life situation. My circumstances are continually changing and, because of judgments and conditioned ways of viewing them, I have a wide range of opinions about them. My life in Him never changes because He is the same yesterday, today and forever. No matter what is happening in and around me, I can trust Him in the midst of it because of the way He makes everything work for good in my life. By embracing every event that happens with a grateful heart, I am putting my faith in Him to work in me according to His good pleasure. I don’t have to understand why something is happening because deep in my heart I have an abiding confidence that it is a part of something much bigger than me. If a door closes and something comes to an end, I know that He has a purpose for it terminating. My objective in every situation is that I will love Him more deeply than ever before.
