“I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.”
John 12:24-25
“But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings.”
Hebrews 2:9-10

I can’t break myself; only God can do that. I can yield myself to Him and surrender everything by abandoning all of my desires, but He is the only one that can complete the work. I have done many things that I thought were sacrificial in an attempt to find this place of rest, but none of them were able to produce the result for which I was pursuing. It wasn’t until I was willing to embrace everything that happens in my life with a heart of thanksgiving and gratefulness that I was able to find that place of peace and joy that I was seeking. I don’t know what will happen in the future, whether it is in the next few hours or years away, but I know that the Lord has brought me to a place for which I had sought for a long time. My heart is overflowing with gratefulness for His great love.
