“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.”
Ephesians 2:19-20

Prior to coming to faith in Jesus Christ, my identity was completely focused on the physical realm, and I was governed by my five senses. I was young and unrestrained, believing I was free to live however I wanted to without consequences. The reality that I didn’t understand was that I was alienated from God. I was a foreigner and stranger from God’s Kingdom with no spiritual understanding.

When I heard the gospel and became a believer, I had no idea what a change that would make in my life. I am still learning about who I am in Christ. Scripture is the primary source of discovery, but God has many other ways of teaching as I trust the Lord to work in me to accomplish His purpose. My primary objective is to surrender all I am and have to Him and His Kingdom. I am thankful that I am no longer a foreigner and stranger, but a member of God’s household.
