"That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come."
Ephesians 1:19-21

The passage we’ve been looking at this week really drives home the point that developing a powerful prayer life comes with knowing our Lord and walking in step with him. As we do this, our prayers align more with his will, and they carry the power and heavenly authority that the Spirit of God’s intercession carries for us. Wow!

So, for instance, when we pray for a lost loved one to know Jesus, we can pray with hopeful confidence and heavenly authority because we know that it is God’s will to save them (2 Peter 3:9)! Our intercession is aligned with God’s heart. Lord help us, guide us, may our prayers echo your will, and may your will be done!
