“Know that the LORD is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.”
Psalm 100:3
“Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”
John 17:3

When my life gets complicated it is always because I have drifted away from the Lord and His ways. God’s Kingdom is peaceful in the midst of a storm. Everything around me can be chaotic, but when I am abiding in Him the circumstances don’t have a negative influence on me. On the other hand, when my thoughts start wandering, I am swept up in a current that flows progressively faster towards things that have no meaning or purpose. I get preoccupied with random thoughts that spiral out of control and begin to cause me to worry and become anxious. It is comforting for me, in those situations, to know that my mind is just a tool the Lord has given me and not who I am. By simply refocusing my attention on Him, I am drawn back into His presence and all of the negative feelings and judgments disappear and cease to exist. Once again, I experience His joy and peace. I am so very, very grateful that He is always with me and through Jesus Christ I am able to continually commune with Him.
