“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
Ephesians 4:22-24
“Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.”
1 John 3:2-3

When I became a follower of Jesus, my life changed radically. It has taken me many years to understand what happened and I am still learning. At first, I had many questions, but now I sense a oneness with the Lord that has simplified my life in a way that has brought me great peace and contentment. By surrendering my life to Him, I am trusting God in every situation and I no longer have to ask why things happen the way they do. I know now that He is making everything work together for His intended purpose. My life situations are in a continual state of diversity, most of which are beyond my control. However, my life in Him is always the same and remains constant. My awareness of His presence and confidence of His kind intention makes it possible for me to respond with His grace instead of reacting as though I was being threatened with loss, harm or evil. I am grateful for His faithfulness and love. I pray that when distractions come, I will quickly return to an awareness of His presence.
