I am just like Adam. Give me freedom to do anything but tell me I can’t do something and what is it I want to do? The one thing I’m told I can’t do. God waited until He had created everything else before He created Adam and Eve. He didn’t need any help. When everything was finished, He rested.  So why did God create mankind? To rule over all of the living creatures, to procreate, to work the land, to name everything and for fellowship. He provided plant life for sustenance but there was one thing He told Adam and Eve they couldn’t do because the consequences would be catastrophic. There was nothing bad in the Garden of Eden so Adam and Eve only knew what God wanted them to know. Today, there is still nothing bad in the Kingdom of Light. The gospel is all about the testimony of God’s good news and it is absolutely and totally true. Herein lies the problem! Our ego hates the idea of submitting to God and obeying His commands. Our ego thinks it has a better way. Our ego is not our amigo! All God wants us to do is love Him, trust Him, submit to Him and love everyone the way Jesus did. My prayer is that He will help me do those four things with great enthusiasm.
