"And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, 'The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.'"
Exodus 34:6-7

Paul, in his letter to the Galatians, makes a profound statement: “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” Two irrefutable truths are in that statement informing us that God is Sovereign and in His purpose for mankind is included the freedom to choose. Each of us makes choices thousands of times a day, and only by having our Hope in Him as an anchor for our souls can we consistently make the right choices.

We have such an anchor in Jesus Christ because He entered the inner sanctuary behind the curtain as our eternal high priest to intercede on our behalf. What a hope that is, and because of that hope, we can walk moment by moment in fellowship and communion with Him, the Holy Spirit, and our Heavenly Father. We truly are the most blessed people walking on planet earth today.
