I took one of our daughters shopping over the summer. As we went from store to store, I watched her shop, not for herself, but for her sisters and brother. She cheerfully picked out personalized gifts for each of them. She didn’t think twice about what it cost or how much would be leftover for herself. I left that day thinking I needed to be more like that with the things God has given me.
God, help us not to give reluctantly or under compulsion but with a cheerful heart. In Jesus’ name, amen.
