This morning, I pause to confess that Jesus is the Son of God. He is Lord. I am so grateful that it is by faith in Jesus that we are saved and that we have relationship with God. Not only that, but my faith in Jesus helps me cast out any fear that comes my way. Why? Not because I love God but because He loved me first and gave His life for me. Thank you, Jesus, for your life, death, and resurrection. Thank you for your unending love for me. I pray that any fear that may come my way today would be cast out by Your perfect love.
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because he first loved us.
