"You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"
Galatians 5:13-14

Imagine being in a deep, dark valley with fear and shame all around you.  Then you look up and see a beautiful hilltop with joy and peace all over it.  Jesus rescues us from that dark valley and plants us on that hilltop.  We are free to experience his goodness, his peace, and his joy.

What do we do with all this freedom?  Some use Jesus’ gift of salvation as a free pass to eternity and easy forgiveness for their continued selfish behaviors.  In the passage to the Galatians, Paul is encouraging them to choose a different path – to use their freedom to serve and love others.

The hilltop with Jesus is incredible.  Are you doing everything you can to get more people up there with you?  Serve humbly, love deeply, and share Jesus faithfully.
