“Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome.”
1 John 5:3

I’m a rule follower. Always have been and still am. I like to know the limits, and I like to stay within those bounds. But when you translate “following the rules” into a relationship with God, it doesn’t become a relationship; it becomes religious, mundane, and self-serving. You miss out on experiencing agape, unconditional love, and you miss out on giving agape love. When you realign your walk with Christ to match a relationship with Him, life is much freer, filled with purpose, and more fun! God’s commandments offer us a way to live that is freer, lighter, and full of purpose. Is there a place in your personal walk with Christ that feels burdensome? What would happen if you realigned that place with relationship with God?
