We recently did some yardwork that made a vast improvement to our property. Feeling very proud of our hard work, I find myself walking outside from time to time to admire and enjoy our accomplishments. Of course, nothing compares to what God created in 6 days. I love how He “looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good.” As He is thinking this, I picture God with a glass of sweet tea, rocking on the porch, gazing off into the distance, with a large grin on His face. This image reminds me of Psalms 27:13, “Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living.” I have learned, in recent weeks, that when I focus on God’s goodness, I find the joy of my salvation! I find peace, contentment, thankfulness, and so much more. Let’s overcome the obstacle of negativity, lies, and hopelessness and together focus on God’s goodness.
