Indeed, most of us are blessed to call the United States of America home. It’s imperative, however, that we remember that this is not our true home. When we are in Christ, we become citizens of heaven and so our heavenly citizenship becomes primary. We are foreigners and exiles here on earth. As such, we live our lives as a response of what He has done for us. We serve others, love others, forgive others only because He served and loved and forgave us first. Gospel seeds produce good deeds. So let us be planted in the goodness of the Gospel today and live to glorify Him in all that we do.
"Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul. Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us."
