"26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us."
Acts 17:26-27

This passage reminds me of what we are currently learning in Kid’s Ministry. Last month we celebrated the Resurrection Story. This month we are talking about Jesus’ last few days on earth before He ascended to heaven and gave us the Holy Spirit. But as we know, before Jesus left, He gave us the Great Commission. He gave us purpose…a mission. This passage in Acts reiterates that.

In these verses, we read that our time on earth is marked, and while we are here, we are called to seek Him. We are called to make disciples by telling others about Him. Everyone here on earth is seeking after something…why not seek after Jesus wholeheartedly! Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” When we die to our fleshly desires and choose Jesus over everything, He says He will take care of the rest. In addition to that, when we seek him first, we are reminded of the importance of spreading the gospel.

I don’t know about you, but I want my time here on earth to be impactful. I want to make the most of it by living a legacy that points back to Jesus for generations and generations to come.
