“I will sing of the LORD’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make Your faithfulness known through all generations. I will declare that Your love stands firm forever, that You established Your faithfulness in heaven itself.”
Psalm 89:1-2

Just about the time I think I am making great progress in my walk with the Lord, an event happens to test my faith and I fail. Instead of trusting Him, I take matters into my own hands and do something that turns out to be the exact opposite of what I should have done.

I am so grateful that in that moment of insensitivity to the leading of His Spirit, I can choose to repent and humble myself before those I have offended and ask for forgiveness. He is quick to forgive and I am able to experience His mercy in a fresh new way.

The greatest blessing is that He not only forgives but He also gives me the grace I need to turn the negative situation into something positive. In that way, my faith is strengthened and I am reminded once again that He wants to walk with me more than I want to walk with Him.

I thank the Lord for making everything work together for good, even when I make a mistake.
