In his letter to the Roman church, Paul is explaining that salvation is offered through the gospel of Jesus Christ. In Romans 1:16, Paul states, “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.” And in the above verses, Paul says all you have to do to be saved is to openly declare that “Jesus is Lord” and whole-heartedly believe that God raised Him from the dead. Acts 4:12 says, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”
This amazing news almost feels like it’s too good to be true, doesn’t it? It’s quite incredible that, through our belief and our faith in Jesus, each and every one of us can stand before God completely justified, righteous, holy, and forgiven. His finished work on the cross has the power to free us all, and His deepest desire is that we simply pursue Him!
