Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a sports fanatic! And there’s nothing better to watch in sports than a thrilling comeback! One of my favorite parts of baseball is to watch a closing pitcher enter the game in the final moments to deliver the “save.” It’s amazing to me that the change of one player in a crucial moment can change all the momentum and alter the course of a team from experiencing defeat to a commanding victory. See, that’s exactly what Jesus has done for us! God sent his only son at the most crucial point in history to change the course of our lives forever. The human race went from a place of hopelessness and defeat in the jaws of sin and death to a place of hope, life and redemption all through the blood of Jesus on the cross! May today be a reminder that no matter where we find ourselves in life, we have been redeemed by the blood which was poured out as a free gift to us!
