Our responsibility is to love the lost. At a recent Community Group I attended, we were asked the question, “Are you in a relationship with an individual where you get nothing in return?” It’s safe to say most all our relationships are a mutual give and take. But in this case, we were encouraged to find someone in our life we can love and pour into without expecting anything in return.
If we spend any time at all reading about Jesus’ interactions here on earth, most all His relationships were a deposit into someone’s life, not a withdrawal. We are called to do the same. God gives us everything we need to love one another well and to love them the way that He loves us.
God, fill us with Your Spirit. Help us to see others the way that You see them and love them the way that You love them. Amen.
