Most days I’m yearning for the kind of focused attention to God described in this verse. I am reminded of how many times I am the one trying to add unnecessary expectations and rules to spending time with God, while God is simply asking me to seek Him wholeheartedly — to take the pause in order to ponder His ways, gaze upon who He is, and to direct my attention and affection towards Him.
We serve a God who is full, complete, overflowing. He is lacking in nothing and He doesn’t need me to reach Him, He has already paved the way so that I am able to draw near to Him. No matter what we’re facing today, He is enough. He has made Himself searchable to us so that we can know and follow Him. What is one step you can take to continue to seek God throughout your day?
