“Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He answers him from His holy heaven with the saving power of His right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.”
Psalm 20:6-7

I am grateful that my fellowship with the Lord is not based on how I feel. If it did, I would have difficulty on many occasions because my feelings are so dependent on circumstances.

The wonderful thing about spending time with Him is that all I have to do, no matter how my emotions are affecting me, is be still. In the silence of the moment I am able to focus on the reality that He is always with me, no matter what the situation is that I am facing. It is amazing to me that just knowing that awakens His peace and joy in my spirit.

Even if I am surrounded by chaos, I can remember the cross and look unto Jesus who, because of the joy set before Him, endured the pain and anguish He was experiencing.

I pray that He will Help me to continually be aware of His presence in the stillness of every event that happens.
