"Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace."
Romans 6:13-14
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Romans 12:1-2

For many years I thought that worshiping God only happened in a church. Singing hymns, listening to a sermon, giving money and prayer were the activities that took place in a sanctuary that was dedicated to Him. I separated my life into secular and sacred. Then, one day, as I was memorizing a verse of Scripture, the Lord opened my eyes to see that He doesn’t want me to separate my life into the secular and the spiritual. He wants everything I do to be an act of worship as I walk in continual fellowship with Him. This made my whole life take on a new meaning and made me realize why I was created. Now my work, interaction with others, recreation, going to a place where I can collectively worship God and associate with like-minded people are all actions of worship. He is awesome! I thank Him for setting me free from living a double life.
