Peace is offered to us because of the perfect sacrifice that Jesus made so that we may be in right standing with God and with others. This perfect sacrifice only comes to fruition because of the perfect coming of God in the flesh.
The birth of Jesus, being fully God and fully man, was the beginning of the end of God’s perfect plan to bring eternal peace and reconciliation to mankind. Our ability to maintain or even experience reconciliation and peace with God and others began with the miracle birth of Jesus. It was evident from the beginning! The birth signifies the battle is won! Satan would soon be permanently defeated, and peace brought to all those who are in Christ Jesus. May we focus on celebrating the coming of peace and reconciliation with the birth of a perfect savior!
