“And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
Romans 12:1-2

One of the most intimate ways that I have personally experienced knowing God is allowing God to change the ways that I think and feel. God who made each of us in His image doesn’t leave us there— created but forever broken or wounded. He provides a way for us to grow in transformation to become more like Him. That process can be hard work, but it is rewarding work! As we grow in becoming more like God in who He created us to be, we continue to experience God’s will which as the verse tells us is “good and pleasing and perfect.” That is good news!
