"7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. 8 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10 always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies."
2 Corinthians 4:7-10

Like a jar of clay, my life is ordinary and breakable. That is, without the Lord, I am just a regular guy living an ordinary life. The difference is Him, the treasure that lives inside of me. Ever since I surrendered my life to Jesus, life has been anything but ordinary. I cannot for a second, however, even begin to take credit for any of it.  He is the author of my life and to He alone belongs all of the glory. He is also my sustainer. There are seasons of life where I have felt afflicted, perplexed, persecuted and struck down by the enemy… but thanks to the treasure within me, His Holy Spirit, I was afflicted, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed. Thank you Jesus for the treasure that is your Gospel.
