When I read this verse, I’m reminded of the sweetness that comes with sharing life with others. I had a mentor that used to tell me: “In this world, there are life-breathers and death-breathers. Aim to always be one who breathes life into others.” My prayer is that I model just that. May I be the kind of person that shares the gospel and the life in myself because of it. Let us find community in others as we look to love those around us the way that Jesus does. May we hold nothing too tightly that gets in the way of giving the gospel of truth and ourselves to those around us.
“So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us.”
