My weaknesses are not the things that separate me from God. It is when I am confident that I can do something on my own that I find myself drifting away from the conscious awareness of His presence. Now I understand that those things that hinder me from abiding in Him are also another form of weakness. My strengths have the potential of becoming my greatest weaknesses if they isolate me from the Lord. I pray that in everything I will surrender both my strengths and vulnerabilities to God so that I live my life in complete dependence on Him.
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."

"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me."
