"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted."
Matthew 5:4
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."
2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Whenever I see someone whose life has been engulfed with grief or pain, I know in my heart that there is great hope for them because of the redemption that is possible through Jesus Christ. On many occasions God has redeemed my mistakes, misfortunes and misery by allowing me to bring them to the cross and give them to Him. The transformation that results when He gives me an eternal perspective of each situation, with Calvary as the framework from which I can interpret them, is miraculous. It is my prayer that the Lord will help me intercede for them so that they can have vision to observe their adversity as an opportunity to experience God’s grace, mercy and comfort the same way He has blessed me.
