God, help us to be more like you. Help us to care about the things that you care about. Help us to be watchful and look for opportunities to be the Light.

I had the best father-in-law that anyone could have asked for. He went to be with Jesus about 11 years ago. But while He was here on earth with us, he lived out Matthew 6:19-21. He didn’t have a bunch of stuff. He valued the things that mattered most, like family, integrity, and Jesus. He loved well and made honorable decisions. People were drawn to the Jesus within him. His life impacted many, including mine.

God, help us to be more like you. Help us to care about the things that you care about. Help us to be watchful and look for opportunities to be the Light. In Jesus’ name, amen.
