I can think of several incidences where my children’s faith impacted me. I remember feeling broken for hurting someone that I loved, and as I walked into my living room, our son was riding his scooter all around the living room singing, “grace on top of grace.” God used his sweet singing voice to remind me that God’s grace is sufficient. When our oldest was 8, she wrote a story about how God used a doctor to heal her daddy. I have a vivid memory of our four-year-old daughter standing in the aisle at church, with zero prompting from her father and me, hands held high, genuinely worshiping the Lord with all her heart.
A child’s faith is so simple and pure. It feels so grand and without complexity. I’m so thankful God didn’t rebuke the little children but welcomed them with open arms.
