“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Mark‬ ‭10:45

Several years back, my family and I found ourselves in the middle of a storm. It was through that storm where I experienced God’s love like never before. God’s love comes in all shapes and sizes but for me, it came through the gift of service. For months at a time we were showered with warm meals, a close friend cleaned my entire house from top to bottom, our friends prayed for us, waited with me in the waiting room, watched our kids, our neighbor walked our trash to the curb. The list goes on and on…with each gesture I felt the warm embrace of our Heavenly Father. Each gift was like a gentle kiss on the forehead. It was like God was whispering to me over and over, “I see you. I love you. I’m with you.” This whole experience completely transformed me from the inside out. Now, I look for opportunities to care and love for people the way that we were.

Can you imagine what a gentle kiss on the forehead would do for someone who has never experienced God’s love? I encourage you to ask God how He wants you to serve. The impact could be life-changing.
