As I meditate on this passage, I’m astounded yet again at God’s plan for reconciliation with humanity. When we receive the free gift of salvation by faith, we don’t have to wait for our life to end to experience the kingdom of heaven. The Father says we are now His child AND His ambassador! The dictionary defines ambassador as “a diplomatic official of the highest rank, sent by one sovereign or state to another as its resident representative.” So amazing to saturate ourselves in the knowledge that we are heaven sent representatives of God…that He entrusts us to make appeal on His behalf to the lost world around us. When I am feeling weighted by fear, doubt or inadequacy, God tells me that I’m His beloved and I’m commissioned by Him to go and represent Him. Will He not supply everything I need to carry out His will? Father we say yes to Your good plan, and we say yes to our personal assignments. We thank You for Your grace when we fail to act, and we thank You for the power of the Holy Spirit within us that supplies us with all that we need for Your work, in Jesus name amen. Let’s Go!
“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you, on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
