I need help! Sometimes I struggle with navigating motherhood, feeling insecure, being a perfectionist, or being patient and kind or showing compassion. Luckily, my weaknesses are made strong in Him. Jesus promises me in Psalm 37:5 that if I commit everything I do to him and trust him He will help me! Thankfully He has helped me countless times. When I get stuck with a parenting issue, He will speak to me and give me direction. He has helped me break patterns of my past that are unhealthy. He has helped me change my perspective, helped me love the unlovable, and in some ways, He has changed me at my core. Because of His trustworthiness through my past and to the present, I know that I can trust Him with my future. The key word in Psalm 37:5 is “commit”. In this context, commit means to surrender to or submit. It is when we submit every detail of our life to him that we can trust Him and receive His help.
“Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.”
