When we worship, we are ascribing honor, glory, wisdom, power, and all authority to God because he is good and faithful and trustworthy! The singing of songs allows us to actively participate in this ascription with our voices and our intellect!
Take Action:
- During worship time this evening, take time to mentally focus on the words of the songs.
- While you focus on what the song is actually saying, ask God to reconstruct your heart and mind to fully agree with the truths in the song, and honestly ascribe the attributes and lauding that is included in the song to God.
