I believe I have been living my whole life in preparation to get to the place where I am now in my walk with the Lord. It is not as though I have arrived at a new destination because He has been with me all along. The difference now is that I have realized that I really can’t do anything without Him. All of my life I thought that being responsible meant that I had to solve all of the problems I encountered. Now that burden has been lifted. My ego no longer has control over me because my eyes have been opened to see that God is, has been, and always will be my protector. I am completely dependent on Him. My responsibility now is to abide in fellowship with the Lord and observe what He is doing in and around me. I thank God that, through Jesus Christ and His completed work at Calvary, I have been set free.
"To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, 'If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.'"
John 8:31-32
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."
Galatians 5:1
