When I first heard the word Boundaries, years ago, it felt like a foreign concept. It took time and implementation before I fully began to understand their value and purpose. Jesus models boundaries so beautifully. In this particular passage, Jesus protected His time with the Lord by having good boundaries. Think about a toddler and how having good boundaries is so important for their well-being. It’s those boundaries that provide clear direction and a sense of security. In the same way a toddler needs to have clear parameters…so do we. Boundaries guard our time, our words, and our thoughts as well as allow us to live in the freedom that God designed. Spend some time today asking God where you need to establish good clear boundaries. Maybe it’s in your time with the Lord, at work, with a friend, or your children. Once God has shown you, thank God for giving you direction. Now, no matter how difficult it may be…walk with the Lord in obedience. You won’t regret the freedom that it brings!
"35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. 36 Simon and his companions went to look for him, 37 and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!"
