As we close out the “Limited” series this week, we’ll be focusing on the call to GO. This amazing commission came just before Jesus ascended to heaven. Other gospels tell us He then seated Himself at the right hand of God, as He grabbed His bowl of popcorn…just kidding, but can you just imagine it? Our Champion, our Savior, gave the first disciples their marching orders, then departed for heaven, where He seated Himself to watch the most spectacular story of all of time continue to unfold. But even better, Romans 8:34 tells us, “…Christ Jesus who died – who was raised to life – is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.” As followers of Christ, WE are the product of the call Jesus gave so many years ago, and we are privileged to carry on knowing that Jesus is rooting us on.
The question for each of us each day is, will we carry on the call?
Lord, continue to fill us up, and by the power of your Spirit, may the gospel of Jesus Christ continue to be propelled into all the earth.
