Just saying “No” is the easiest way God has given me to fight my enemies and saying “Yes” to Him is the quickest way to surrender to His will.
I get in trouble when I rationalize, argue and try to justify my ego’s desire to come up with a better plan. All that does is create drama and robs me of God’s peace and joy.
When there is an action He wants from me, I have learned that His Spirit has a calm way of guiding me. In the meantime, patience and gentleness have a tremendous effect on me and those I am with.
I pray for perseverance and diligence to maintain my conscious awareness of the Lord’s presence for it is only then that I am walking in His light.
