11 My name will be great among the nations, from where the sun rises to where it sets. In every place incense and pure offerings will be brought to me, because my name will be great among the nations," says the Lord Almighty.
Malachi 1:11

Throughout the verses before, God reminds the Israelites of His promises to dispel their doubts and also address their lack of reverence for Him. In verse 11, we have a sort of summation of the verses before and the ultimate purpose of His promises. His name will be glorified and known throughout the nations.

Are we not recipients of the promises God made long ago? Jesus was a descendant of the Israelites, the chosen people that God specifically chose, protected, guided, and loved. Without God delivering on His promises, this would be a different story. His faithfulness led to the birth, death, and resurrection of our Savior. We now get to be recipients of His mercy and unconditional love and take part in making Him known across all nations. Praise be to God!
