To be prudent in the eyes of God is to be yielded to his Spirit and committed to his purposes. Regardless of our profession or station in life, to go about our daily work in a way that carries the Gospel into every part of culture is the way to “till” our land. The harvest that this sowing renders is eternal and lasting. In this way, we seek first the Kingdom of God as he adds all the things that we need. Having this “plenty” does not always mean wealth and excess in the way that we understand it. Instead, the “plenty” is the settled confidence of a life that is lived in obedience and service to God…rooted and secure in the promises of God.
11 "Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies have no sense."
Proverbs 12:11
