"Therefore, say to the Israelites: ‘I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment."
Exodus 6:6

As a historical fact, the Egyptians were enslaving God’s people (the Israelites) to build their kingdom.  God knew the condition of His people, and He remembered His covenant with them.  So, God used Moses to lead His people to freedom. Moses represented what the world would experience through Jesus over a thousand years later.

Many of us know what it feels like to be enslaved by sin, trapped in negative behavior patterns, and stuck in unhealthy relationships and lifestyles.  Just as Moses did for the Israelites, Jesus grants us freedom from sin and condemnation because of His sacrificial death on our behalf.

Jesus died for you.  If you have not given your life to Him, make today the day.  If you have received Him as Savior, then walk in freedom.
