9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. 11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.
Colossians 3:9-11

Following Jesus comes with a call to be committed to constant life change. As we draw closer to him and commit ourselves to his word and his body of believers, there will constantly be new areas in our lives that God sheds light on in order to look more like Jesus. The more transparent and honest that we are in our Christ-centered community about these things, the more we have real and authentic ways to shed light on those areas of our lives. As we walk in our new self, which is covered by Jesus, it is vital to our spiritual being that we be committed to growing in understanding of his word and in unity with others who are like-minded. May we encourage one another in love and grace to pursue Jesus with all honesty and transparency that he may continue his good work in us so that we may reflect his goodness to those who have not experienced it.
