When I read the words above, I am filled with peace. Sometimes the world out there can feel daunting, intense, and dark. But the truth of these words reminds me that God offers us eternal life beyond what we can see. The world we know, the circumstances and situations that make up our days, and the pain we know are not permanent. When we believe in Christ, we are welcomed in fellowship with Him and promised Hope beyond our circumstances. What in your life are you glad is temporary? Take a minute to thank God for His promise of eternal life.
“We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.”
