Prayer is one of the most critical aspects of a continuing relationship with God. God is all-knowing, all-present, and all-powerful, yet He desires and yearns to hear the prayers and praises of His people. 1 Chronicles instructs us to “seek His face always,” Ephesians says to “pray at all times,” Philippians says “in every situation…to present our requests to God.” We could continue to find many, many verses that point us to prayer. Just like we get to know a friend by communicating, so we get to know God. When has been a time in your life that God has answered your prayers? When has been a time in your life that the answer looked different than you expected?
“I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life. And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.”
