"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand."
John 10:27-29

Talk about a promise to cling to in both the good days and the bad. With so much that is fleeting in this world, be it our bank accounts, relations with family, approval of others, or simply the latest happenings in the world around us…so much is uncertain. I don’t know about you, but I find myself often adopting the fear of the world as it relates to all the uncertainty, trying to take matters into my own hands for a sense of control, security, or certainty. But what a promise these verses from Jesus are to our souls as we navigate a broken world slipping away.

No one can snatch us from our Father’s hand. No financial, medical, political, or relational strife could snatch us from a Father’s hand that firmly holds us as His own. A Father’s hand that won’t let anything separate us from His love and eternal life. How would you live today if you took this truth to heart? I know for me, I’d have a lot more peace in the midst of hardship.

Lord, please help me hold onto Your promise for me in times of timidity and anxiousness, and may my peace be contagious to those You put around me.
