"Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone."
Titus 3:1-2

We live in a time with a lot of challenges, but also a lot of opportunity to be salt and light in a world that desperately needs it. Paul summarizes this idea well in his letter to Titus, where he lists six ways to be light in the darkness. When you look at that list, how are you doing in each of these six areas? This list does a great job of helping us determine how well we’re integrating into the culture but remaining loyal to the God who loves us. When things get bad, people in the darkness are looking for somebody who looks different than them. They’re looking for a place for safety, wisdom, comfort and love. Let’s be those people.
