"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."
1 Timothy 2:1-4

Prayer is one of God’s greatest gift to us. Prayer is proof that God wants a relationship with us. Proof that God loves us. Prayer is the best weapon that we have against the schemes of the evil one. Prayer is also the pathway to peace. I’ll be honest, I do not turn to prayer enough. Instead, I am quick to turn to logical problem solving. I am learning and growing in my prayer life and I am realizing more and more the power that we truly have through prayer. So let’s start this week off in prayer.

Father, I acknowledge that you are the One on the throne and the One in control. You know what we need and what our country needs. We intercede for our leaders. Ask that you fill them with your wisdom and direction. We ask that your will would be done through this election. And we pray for grace. Lots of it. I pray, Father, for peace and quiet so that we could live in all godliness and holiness. More so, in the midst of so much chaos, I pray for revival. I pray that we continue to see more and more family members, neighbors, and friends come to know you. Knowing you fulfills us in a way that nothing else does. Thank you Jesus for the Gospel and for reigning in our hearts today. In You, we have peace.
