"Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith."
Galatians 3:7-9

Do you ever fall into the trap of believing you need to earn God’s love today?  In the book of Galatians, Paul urges the Galatians to return back to sharing the true Gospel, not their own version of what they believed the Gospel should be. Paul redirects the church to the faith of Abraham, how he was justified by faith alone and not by his works. The same Gospel is true for us. We don’t have to strive to earn our salvation, all we have to do is accept it and step into it by faith. Ephesians 1:4 tells us that before the foundation of the world was even laid, God knew you. God did all of the work to make a way to have a relationship with you. There is no more striving to earn love, you are justified under Christ.

How much different would our lives look if we stopped trying to prove ourselves with our accomplishments and work? What if every day, we accepted the grace that God has prepared for us? How much differently would our lives look if we consistently reflected on the truth that we are heirs of a covenant promise? That long ago, God foresaw your life. He knew you, and He had a glorious plan and inheritance waiting for you. Oh, how sweet is the love of Jesus that we don’t need to look anywhere else to find our peace and purpose? I encourage you to spend some time today reflecting on that truth. You are an heir to the greatest inheritance and grace of all time.
