"For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them."
Ephesians 5:8-11
"This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin."
1 John 1:5-7

There was a time in my life when I thought that stress was a good thing. It seemed normal to me. Now, when I get tense, I realize it is because circumstances are putting pressure on me that moves me away from the desired outcome. Since my main objective has become living in the conscious awareness of God’s presence, nothing can turn me away from the Lord except a misdirected desire to do something without Him. Now I can fellowship with Him continually, by walking in the light, and I no longer experience stress as a normal part of my life. I pray that God will help me use any negative intensity as a reminder that I am entertaining goals and desires that are moving me away from the awareness of His presence.
